Du hast es versprochen is a soft thriller about a girl who did a wrong thing when being a child, and later in life that thing came back to bite her in the ass.
Even though this film is comparatively well done, with professional approach to the implementation, and fine enough cast, and good enough acting – it seemed irritatingly uninteresting to me. The problem is that the story is remarkably unoriginal – every turn of it is predictable, and the main mystery becomes clear long before it is grandiosely revealed to the audience; the ending is cheesy and intentionally hollywood-like, although the same can be said about the whole film in general; all in all its bleakness not as much boring as it is irritating. Just think of all the money wasted on something as trivial as this! I bet with those money one could have lived for many years without necessity to earn.
Anyway, there is no reason in the whole world why should anybody watch this. It’s completely worthless.
